Another sign of gentrification…?

Work has recently commenced to mark out bicycle lanes on Devonshire Road, Sunshine.

Bicycle lanes soon on Devonshire Road

I don’t know about you, but to me this is definitely a sign of gentrification.

Particularly when you note how many on-road bicycle lanes there are in the more gentrified inner suburbs with those available in Brimbank.

Spray painted lines indicate where future bicycle lanes will be located on Devonshire Road, Sunshine

So what do you think the reaction of the community will be to these bicycle lanes??

Yes, I think you are right. Upgraded Sunshine station via RRL, bike lanes, upgraded parks, all point in same direction. A question is how long the gentrification process will take? Still some years to go methinks. Thanks!

I saw the bike lanes as a huge plus too.
